Schick uns deine eigenen Covers in Hochauflösung (mindestens 300dpi) per E-Mail,
damit diese Homepage bekannter und grösser wird. Bitte nur Originale, keine Fan-Made-Covers. Zudem nur 1-2 Covers pro E-Mail, sonst ist das E-Mail zu gross für einen Versand.

Warum stellen wir das Cover online zur Verfügung:
- das Cover soll das Produkt so darstellen, wie man es auch im Handel - mit eigenen Augen, in den eigenen Händen - sehen und erwerben kann. Grösse und Dicke/Breite einer Hülle wird damit ausserdem besser ersichtlich (z.B. bei einer Trilogie, Special Edition, TV-Serie, etc).
- für konkrete und ausführliche technische Informationen zum Produkt, beispielsweise genaues Tonformat, Anzahl Sprachen und Untertitel, genaues Bildformat, Bonusmaterial, usw. Viele Online-Shops zeigen diese Informationen nicht auf, nur beschränkt/unvollständig oder sogar falsch (z.B. falsches Tonformat). Das Packshot (Vorderseite) sagt zu wenig aus. Es soll dem Nutzer alle Informationen aufzeigen und zur Kaufentscheidung beitragen.
- als Sicherheitskopie, falls das Original-Cover zerstört, verbleicht oder verloren geht (z.B. wenn man ein Getränk verschüttet oder die eigenen Kinder es aus der Hülle nehmen und zerreissen). So kann man sich das Cover neu ausdrucken, auch wenn es nicht so originell und professionell aussieht (Papierdicke, Druckqualität). Immerhin hat man einen Ersatz und die Hülle ist nicht leer.
- als alternatives Cover zum Original, je nach Fassung/Release des Produktes (es gibt pro Film im Laufe der Jahre oft mehrere Releases und unterschiedliche Covergestaltungen, teils auch mit unterschiedlichen Altersbeschränkungen sowie mit oder ohne FSK Logo). Gewissen Personen gefällt das Original-Cover nicht und greifen auf eine alternative Version zurück, das ihnen besser zusagt (z.B. US-Version).
- für die digitale Archivierung, wenn man den Film z.B. auf seine Festplatte speichert (zum persönlichen privaten Gebrauch, in der Schweiz beispielsweise rechtlich erlaubt) und dazu auch gerne das Cover behalten und digitalisieren möchte. Nicht jeder Nutzer hat dafür einen hochauflösenden geeigneten Scanner, darum bieten wir ihm diesen Service zusätzlich an.
- das Cover ist es eine gute Werbung und Vermarktung des Produktes für den jeweiligen Anbieter, Verleiher, Hersteller, Entwickler oder Publisher. Viele Besucher sehen das Cover und werden so aufmerksam auf weitere Produkte des jeweiligen Anbieters.
- Besucher nutzen das hochauflösende Cover für die Erstellung eines Hintergrundbildes (Wallpaper) für ihren PC, Notebook, Tablet oder Smartphone - oft sogar auch für ihr Profilbild einer App oder Webseite (z.B. WhatsApp), was erneute indirekte Werbung für den Anbieter ist.
Wir zeigen letztendlich nur das fertige Produkt auf, das man 1:1 so im Handel erwerben kann und auch auf anderen Webseiten, Blogs oder Online-Shops zu sehen bekommt (Vorder- und Rückseite).

Why do we make the cover available online:
- the cover should represent the product as it can be seen and purchased in stores - with own eyes, in own hands. The size and thickness/width of a cover is also better visible (e.g. for a trilogy, special edition, TV series, etc.).
- for concrete and detailed technical information about the product, for example, exact sound format, number of languages and subtitles, exact picture format, bonus material, etc. Many online stores do not show this information, only limited/incomplete or even wrong (e.g. wrong sound format). The packshot (front page) says too little. It should show the user all the information and contribute to the purchase decision.
- as a backup copy, in case the original cover gets destroyed, faded or lost (e.g. if you spill a drink or your own children take it out of the cover and destroy it). So you can reprint the cover, even if it doesn't look that original and professional (paper thickness, print quality). At least you have a replacement and the case is not empty.
- as an alternative cover to the original, depending on the version/release of the product (there are often several releases and different cover designs per film over the years, sometimes also with different age restrictions and with or without age logo). Certain people do not like the original cover and fall back on an alternative version that suits them better (eg US version).
- for digital archiving, e.g. if you save the film on your hard drive (for personal private use, legally permitted in Switzerland, for example) and would also like to keep and digitize the cover. Not every user has a high-resolution scanner suitable for this, so we offer him this service in addition.
- the cover it is a good advertisement and marketing of the product for the respective provider, distributor, manufacturer, developer or publisher. Many visitors see the cover and become aware of other products of the respective provider.
- Visitors use the high-resolution cover to create a background image (wallpaper) for their PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone - often even for their profile image of an app or website (e.g. WhatsApp), which is again indirect advertising for the provider.
In the end, we only show the finished product that you can buy 1:1 in stores and that you can also see on other websites, blogs or online stores (front and back). Many other providers on the World Wide Web show just as thousands and thousands of covers, artwork and packshots.
